My publisher recently sent me a survey to fill out; one of the questions was, “What are your favorite childhood books?” This excited me for several reasons, the first being that I love surveys. The second being that I love kids books. And when I say ‘love,’ I mean I could spend hours in childrens’ bookstores and many times prefer to write or read in the kids’ section of the public library with my knees crunched up under the 2 ft. tables. So, after much deliberation, here is my Top 5 childhood books list.
1. Ramona Quimby, Age 8
2. Flat Stanley
3. The Chicken’s Child
4. The Baby-Sitter’s Club (all nine majillion of them)
5. Gregory, The Terrible Eater
